๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ†ˆ ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†…๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†† : I’ve started reading this book on Tuesday Eve and I’ve finished it in a day and a half ๐Ÿค“โœŒ๏ธ so Kudos to me for that . Coming to the book it’s a story of a girl named Kate who always desired for a man who loved her but destiny has other things in mind , she met a man named Edward Scott and she had a firm believe that this is not the man , but still within a few weeks everything changed , it’s like destiny wanted them to come together , but things were not that easy as both were just complete opposite of each other , and still they’re in it together , for knowing more about the story and how the story folds out please read the book which you can order on Amazon .

What I liked : The writing and the way the author has written about the characters and places it showed her knowledge about Mumbai and her experience there ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŒŸ She used very simple language which makes this book easy to read for all .
What I didn’t liked : There were few editing errors , which feels a bit odd as it’s the same thing I find in every book by new author and it’s the problem with the editing team .
Sometimes the plot was a bit predictable

It’s one of the rare series (in most of the cases rare book ) by an Indian author which I enjoy this much . The writing in this book series is flawless and fulfills all the expectations โœจ๐Ÿ’š
This book fills the readers on all the
secrets that’s been hinted in the last two books and I loved many Revelations that came at the perfect timing possible . This book makes you believe that Shiva (Lord Shiva ) was a human who rose to become god like as a result of his karma ๐Ÿ™

The way the battle strategies are explained is something extraordinary , the author was keen on minutest details of battles and gave the natural feel to it . I loved the way Brahma-ashtra and other Divyaastras are nothing but nuclear weapons of this time . And all the working of things are explained brilliantly ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‘ The ending was so raw yet so true to the stories was something highly commendable .

And this series is vast , and I loved how precisely author has been true to all the characters through out the 3 books ๐Ÿ‘
So it was a satisfying ending to one of the best Indian mythologies till date ๐Ÿ’šโœจ

This book comprised of 3 spooky ghost stories named :
1. To be read at dusk
2. The signalman
3. The trial of murder
And all these 3 stories are way different from each other but still similar in a very creepy way ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€
The use of unexplainable incidents and phenomenon made these stories very disturbing or say thrilling to me , I was pretty content with the way all the three stories ended and the 2nd and 3rd stories were just mind blowing ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ

Chronicle of a death foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

“A Falcon who chases a warlike Crane can only hope for a life of pain “My Rating : 4.7 ๐ŸŒˆ out of 5 ๐ŸŒˆ
Genre : Crime fiction , magical realism
Blurb : A man returns to the town where a baffling murder took place 27 years earlier, determined to get to the bottom of the story. Just hours after marrying the beautiful Angela Vicario, everyone agrees, Bayardo San Roman returned his bride in disgrace to her parents. Her distraught family forced her to name her first lover; and her twin brothers announced their intention to murder Santiago Nasar for dishonoring their sister.
Yet if everyone knew the murder was going to happen, why did no one intervene to try and stop it? The more that is learned, the less is understood, and as the story races to its inexplicable conclusion, an entire society–not just a pair of murderersโ€”is put on trial.
My Views : This book is something different ๐Ÿ˜ฎ .
The writing style, the characterization is highly captivating and some of the issues in this book are reflected in a manner rivalled by none ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’–. This book is short yet filled with awesomeness ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’š. This book made readers notice various
Ill treatments and stupid society norms like virginity of the bride etc . . This book provides me the taste of Gabo’s writing style and now I know why so many people love his writing ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’“ His writing just flows and keeps the reader super hooked and this book has the minutest bit of magical realism which is a delicacy for the readers ( as he didn’t overdo anything which made it more believable ) . It’s my first experience of his writing and I’m more than sure that I’m gonna pick many books by him ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Note : This book is based on actual incidents that occurred in Sucre, Colombia, where Gabriel Garcia Marquez lived.

Book Nerd problems

1. Collecting books : Nowadays Iโ€™m too much into classics and I am a bit confused which editions to go for as many of you must also be facing the same problem I guess. And by Reading various articles and stuffs I came to an opinion that you can choose 3 book editions for collecting based on your budget :

๐Ÿ”– For readers on low budget :

~ Vintage classics (my favourite kindoff because of awesome covers and perfect sized fonts and reasonably priced i.e starting from as low as 125 RS .)

~Penguin classics ( the black covered ones )

~ Wordsworth classics (they are pretty cheap and of good quality )

๐Ÿ”–For readers with moderate to high budget :

~ Try vintage classics special author editions ( like vintage Dickens , vintage Austen etc. These have the best looking paperback covers with flaps )

~ Penguin Cloth bounds and penguin leather bounds ( these are the prettiest edition available and are a bit higher priced but these are best editions to collect )

2. Reading Mood swings : I am a avid reader and lately Iโ€™m unable to read a certain kinda books for long and unable to find a genre that suits me for long ๐Ÿ˜… like I used to love reading thrillers and fantasy and now I am not able to make my mind to read these genres ๐Ÿ˜ณ but it provided me a decent opportunity to read classics which now am madly Into ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ It feels as if my reading standards changed or evolved and what I considered great books for me 6 months back are just once in a while kinda read for me now ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜

3. Happy hoarding : I never considered myself as a hoarder but now Iโ€™m thinking that Iโ€™m into the category of Tsundoku (i.e Tsundoku is acquiring reading materials but letting them pile up in oneโ€™s home without reading them.) And itโ€™s not bad , itโ€™s not as if Iโ€™m not reading itโ€™s simply as Iโ€™m buying more books than Iโ€™m reading ๐Ÿ˜… And buying books provides me a feel good environment which is not bad till youโ€™re not overdoing it ๐Ÿ˜„

4. Paperback V/S Hardcovers : Itโ€™s one of the most controversial discussion amongst book lovers i.e , which is better Hardcover or paperbacks but my answer to this question is simple If you want the ease of reading then definitely paperbacks because of its ease of carrying but if you want to collect books and want to have them for long then hardcovers are the right kind off book for you , because they are made of high quality paper as compared to paperbacks so theyโ€™ll last way longer than paperbacks but youโ€™ve to compromise on the ease with which you wanna read ๐Ÿ˜

Book Review :Circe by Madeline Miller

My rating : ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ.8 out of 5.
Synopsis: Circe was born in the house of Helios (god of the sun) . Due to the lack of powers ,look and divine voice like her father she was always criticized, scorned and made fun by her own people๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜ž . She was rejected by her own family members and her mother felt ashamed of her.(For instance her mother says“that Circe is dull as a rock.Circe has less with than bare ground. Circe’s hair is matted like a dog’s . If I’ve to hear her broken voice once more. Of all our children , why must it be she who’s left. No one else will have her”). ๐Ÿ˜ฆ. Her isolation lead to the discovery of her powers i.e; witchcraft that is forbidden to the Gods. Due to her love towards a mortal(human) she casts a spell .God Zeus (the king of Olympus) punished her by sending her to an abandoned island Aiaia, where she learns about her powers and how to use them and control them ๐Ÿ˜ฎ. As she’s a woman (even being a goddess) her independence puts her in danger of the wrath and torments of both gods and humans alike ๐Ÿ˜ถ. Now in order to protect what she cares for she has to decide whether she’ll take the side of the gods by whom she was born from or the mortals she came to love ๐Ÿ˜Š
My Review: It’s a book filled with emotionally touching moments and wow factors in right proportion. It takes you through the lifestyle and the places of God’s . You’ll be in a state of wow and shock with some displays of both places and the rituals . It makes you question the injust male dominance, fears to an independent woman, suppressive nature of society, judging based on outer beauty and unrighteous behavior towards an woman by this shallow society. Here it’s is shown that gods were as fearful as man of the empowerment of others and specially women (they believed in making example of people who tried to do something glorious or against their will),and they are no more than dictator’s, it provides some instances of brutality by both men and gods towards Circe (even being a god) . Best part about the book was the positivity, affection and caring nature of Circe. The narrative style of the author left me in a state of wow and admiration for her ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ˜Š. She’s the closest towards feeling human emotions than any god. It’s a story filled with love, heartbreaks, greed, isolation, suppression and many aspects of our society through the Goddess Circe’s story.
I’ll give this book a 4.8 ๐ŸŒŸ rating out of 5๐Ÿ˜Š. For me it’s an masterpiece and I’ll recommend to all who like to know about Greek gods and like mythology and those who love the artistic style of writing ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜Š

A book review : Digital Fortress by Dan Brown

It’s an mystery and thrill filled fiction ahead of it’s time . It’s an story about an secret American organisation named NSA . NSA is an organisation which reads and stores all the encrypted message and mail’s throughout the world. One day NSA’s cryptic head Susan Fletcher was called and told that the NSA main device TRANSLTR(the device which can break all the encryption) is being targeted with a file having an unbreakable code . So the task is to find the key by which the code can be broken and the key is with the now dead maker of the encryption file “Digital Fortress” . So it’s an mind bobbling twist and suspense filled story with a brilliant thrilling experience ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Ž

It’s the first novel by Dan Brown and an excellent start to read his work. It’ll be delight for anyone who likes technology, coding , encryption but in such a manner that a person with no knowledge can understand it . I’ll give it a 4.5 out 5 rating.
